Life After Trafficking is a collaboration with Danish Doc Productions.

The story is about a trafficked woman.
Joy was trafficked into prostitution in Denmark in 2006. At the airport, she is arrested by the police for possession of a fake passport. After 8 months in prison, she is deported back to Nigeria.

Joy was filmed again in 2011 and 2012, showing her struggle to become an independent woman. She started a small sewing shop and is a single mother of three children. Despite massive challenges in Benin City, Joy manages to create a dignified life where she can decide her own life for the first time.

Calling all to support victims of human trafficking on EU Anti-Trafficking Day!On October 18th, HopeNow - Empowering Trafficked People urged everyone to help victims of human trafficking access their rights and rebuild their lives.

We proudly presented Emerald, a survivor of trafficking, as she shared her powerful words and captivating performance. The 50-minute show, titled "THE ONLY WAY OUT IS THROUGH," took the audience on a transformative journey filled with tears, laughter, despair, and hope.

We collaborated with Patches of Dreams Performance Arts and Mute Theater and held the event at Karen's Minde house in Valby's gardens. This enchanting venue provided the perfect backdrop for Emerald's extraordinary storytelling. This is an exceptional performance that raised awareness and supported survivors.
